Shaina Raza

Postdoctoral Fellow

Shaina Raza is a postdoctoral fellow and her fellowship is co-funded by CIHR-IPPH as part of the Equitable AI and Public Health cohort and Public Health Ontario. Her current academic institute for the fellowship is University of Toronto. Shaina has completed her PhD in computer science from Ryerson University and a Governor General Gold Medal nominee. Her research field is in machine learning, deep neural networks and artificial intelligence. She is also a seasoned peer reviewer, a managing editor for the computer science portfolio in Elsevier and an experienced data scientist. Her research as CIHR Health System Impact Fellow will be on studying and mitigating the impacts of COVID-19 on diverse population using AI techniques.
