Melissa is a practicum student that is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at the University of Toronto. She is a recent graduate of the University of Guelph, where she attainted an Honours Bachelor of Science in Bio-medical Science. The focus of her practicum this summer is to apply the Dementia Population Risk Tool (DemPoRT), a population risk algorithm, to predict five-year dementia risk at the population level and help inform dementia surveillance efforts across Ontario.
